Before I get to this weeks picks I want to share a new rule I’ve made as a result of last weeks picks; never pick the Arizona D as a start. Man what a disaster. They were playing so well and against decent teams. Crazy how Carolina just came in and rolled up on them. Live and learn I guess.
Also this week, I have a few things I wanted to tell you about other than the usual start sit stuff. A few fantasy blogger friends of mine are promoting a a few things you may be interested in. Make sure you check that out the “Around The Web” section (below) before you go because you could win a $50 gift certificate.
OK, so lets get to it.
Start em if you got em…
Dwayne Bowe WR (KC) – I think he is a safe bet against the Jags considering they very near the bottom against the pass (26th). Also, I can’t imagine there will be too much defense in this one. I can easily see a 6 for 100 yard day with a TD.

As the weeks go by your line up decisions get more and more important. From here on out every decision – good or bad – is magnified by ten. Let me help you make sure your decision are the good kind. Here are my thoughts on six players you may be considering this Sunday.
Start em if you got em
Dwayne Bowe WR (KC) -The Chiefs have been putting some offense together lately. They are averaging almost 24 points a game in their last three. A big reason for that has been the play of quarterback Tyler Thigpen. This week KC welcomes the reeling and batter the 27th ranked Saints defense to Arrowhead. Look for D. Bowe to let it all hang out this week with 7-10 catches for 100+ and at least one touchdown.
Santana Moss WR (WAS) – Maybe this is obvious by now but just in case you didn’t catch it. Mini Moss has made the Boys his beeatch lately. In his last three games against them he’s had 25 catches for 381 and two touchdown. There is no reason that should change this Sunday night. Look for 100+ and 1-2 touchdowns.

Holy fricken cow! Can you believe it is already week ten? It won’t be long now and you will either be counting your cash and listening to your buddies heckle your losing ways. Lets work on the former.
Start em if you got em
DeAngelo Williams RB (CAR) – If you have DeAngelo Williams on your squad, you need to get him into your line-up this weekend. He has been getting a larger share of the work lately and he is at home against the 30th ranked Oakland rushing defense that was torn up by both of Atlanta’s running backs last week. Look for 150 all purpose yards and at least 1 touchdown.
Chad Pennington QB (MIA) – Chad has been playing great over the last few games and there is no reason for that to stop this week. The Seahawks are in town, they are ranked 31st against the pass and they don’t travel well – especially over 3 times zones. Chad should have a solid day if you are looking for some bye week love. I’m thinking 250 and 2 touchdowns.

No matter how good or how bad you did in week one, week two promises you the chance to improve your starter selection and – in the end – your scoring. You can tweak your team and make a more educated decision on who to start now that you have had a glimpse of how good – or bad – teams or players may be and/or how a team may use a player.
That line of thinking, along with a healthy dose of history and some cold hard injury news, has led me to my start and sit selections this week. Here is what I have.
Start em if you got em
Chris Johnson RB (TEN) – We hear about the Mendenhall’s and the McFadden’s, but, outside of some faint preseason buzz, there hasn’t been much said about this promising rookie from Tennessee.
Last week in his debut – against a solid Jaguars defense – he racked up 127 all purpose yards and scored a touchdown in limited action. This week he will get more touches against a Cincinnati defense that allowed a touchdown on a reverse and let a rookie quarterback to scramble for a 38 yard touchdown.
I have a ton of respect for the Titans O-line and almost zero for the entire Cinci defense. Look for 100+ and a TD on the ground and 50+ and a TD through the air.
Final stats: 19 for 109 rushing, 2 for 12 receiving.
Final thoughts: No touchdowns but follows up week ones performance with another solid day. Read the rest of this entry

Are you ready for some fantasy football? Me too. Week one is finally here and it is time to get you thinking about who should and who shouldn’t be in your line up this Sunday.
Let’s get it rolling with this weeks picks
Start em if you got em
Jon Kitna QB (DET) – The pass happy Mike Martz is now looking to maim quarterbacks in San Francisco and a commitment to the running game is on the docket for the Motor City Kitties, but, that doesn’t mean that ole’ Jon can’t git r’ done.
He still has the presence of both Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams. That alone will make him a valuable spot starter for the savvy fantasy owner in 2008.
Look for Kitna and company to abuse a very young and rebuilding Atlanta secondary with 300+ yards passing and at least 3 TD’s.
Final stats: 262, 2 td’s and an int.
Final thoughts: Had a few missed opportunities and Atlanta was able to control the ball with their running game.
