I know it was more wishful thinking than anything, but I did call the Skins win over the Cowboys last week. So send your digital HI-5(s) via the comment section of this post – unless your a Cowboys fan… in that case, send your hate-mail via the same method.
I was amongst other Redskins fans when the dagger was placed deep in the heart of the Cowboys late in the game… a feeling that is hard to explain, but I will try my best. Read the rest of this entry

When I was listening to Sirius, and the Pats were down big against the Dolphins – I was surprised like everyone else… really who thought that was going to happen. Same with the Bengals going into OT with the G.I. ANTS, surprised by that one as well. Any given Sunday rang true this past weekend… like it or not.
“If A Professional Football Can’t Beat The Patriots, How About A College Team?”
I think the gameplan for the Dolphins was perfect. In the NFL, with all the studying that goes on each week… teams & players watching footage all offseason… it isn’t hard to be prepared for a team. In fact, you can go back and view tapes and schemes of coaches in past situations, past teams… hell, just about anything you want to look at. This makes preparing for a team easier and easier each time you play them. However, this past Sunday we watched a team pull a fast one on a team that is probably the “best” (even to the point of illegal activities) at preparation.
I get the feeling that Read the rest of this entry

I can say I haven’t seen a week of football as fun, exciting and overall BADASS in a looooooooooong time. Got to watch the Colts come back on the Vikes (sorry Corey), Denver in their questionable win (but still totally awesome to go for 2 right?) and the SKINS finally use some of their weapons to win a game! The cherry on top of the Sunday (that is called a pun folks)… the shootout of all shootouts on Monday Night Football. What a game. Being a Skins fan, I have to hate both the Eagles & Cowboys – but what a freakin’ game. Hope you took the over in that one like I did, covered in the first half. Needless to say (but I will say it anyhow), this is why we love football so much isn’t it? Read the rest of this entry

I don’t think anyone would gripe if we had ONE game a week that is currently held on Sunday at noon… would you? Maybe our wives. Our pocketbooks. Our hangovers.
With Saturday’s college schedule, and two Monday night games… one hell of a week for football.“My Heart Goes Out To Brady Owners.”Let us get it out of the way quickly. Tom Brady owners, you got some work to do. I want to say Cassel will pull it off like Brady did when Bledsoe went down… but I’m not sure yet. What if they call Daunte in and he is ressurected with Randy Moss like old times. Tim Rattay? Nah. I’m leanin’ towards Cassel I think. For now.“I’m a Redskin fan. Times are hard.”Redskins… I thought we had a plan. We knew Gibbs wouldn’t be around forever. Didn’t we? We have a QB… or I thought. Clinton Portis works harder than 95% of RBs in the NFL. At least to get his yards and usually his success translates into wins. The ‘Skins DEF is solid and they made aquisitions in the off-season. Still – only a week into the season wonder if this is going to be “another one of those years”. You know what I mean? How’s your team doing? Read the rest of this entry

Ya, ya, ya. The Giants and Skins opened the NFL season on Thursday night. But, you and I both know that the real opening day is the day when we have a full slate of games to pour over. And speaking of pour, what is opening day without an ice cold beer to sip on?
Today I am going to share a few of my favorite brews with you. Read the rest of this entry
