Alright, lets not waste any time this week. Lets get down to business. Here are you starts, sits and sleepers for week 2. Bottoms up!
Start em if you got em…
Willie Parker RB (PIT) - I really don’t like him overall but I think this week Tomlin and the Steelers will make an extra effort to get the running game on track after a poor outing last week. Plus, with Urlacher out, the Bears D becomes very average – and they weren’t the best run stopping team to begin with (did you notice how Ryan Grant started gashing them last week as the game went on?). I foresee 100 and 2 touchdowns for the fast one.
Atlanta D – Can Delhomme melt down again this week? I think it is pretty safe bet. Besides that, the Dirty Birds are at home and were all over the Phins last week and are looking tough. Why not grab Atlanta off the waiver wire if it is not too late and throw them in this week. Look for them to keep Carolina under 10, grab at least 4 sacks, 2 picks and one touchdown.
Sit em if you got em…
Julius Jones RB (SEA) – Sorry Jones owners but the Rams D ain’t the Niner’s D and the Niner’s WILL punch Jones right in the mouth – just ask Mike Singletary. I just hope you sold high after last weeks performance because you might be seeing more performances like the one I’m predicting for this week – below 50 yards rushing and don’t even think about a TD.
Adrian Peterson RB (MIN) – I’ve been watching Vikings/Lions games twice a year for around 20 years. One thing you can always count on is the score being close until the end no matter how good or bad either team is. I don’t know what the hell it is BUT trust me it will be close. And I’d have to be on crack to tell you to bench one of the best players in the NFL – I just wanted make sure you were paying attention. Look for 400 all purpose yards and 6 touchdowns.
Sleepers: Don’t be surprised if…
…Micheal Bush RB (OAK) is able to post solid RB2 stats when Oaktown runs all over KC. Look for Bush to grab 75+ yards and 1+ touchdowns.
…Ricky Williams RB (MIA) is able to post solid RB2 stats this week too. The Dolphins will need to keep Manning and company off the field and without Bob Sanders, Indy could struggle with the run. Also, Ricky had majority share of the pie last week and he should get at least 50 percent this week as well. I’m thinking 100+ and a TD.
…Antwan Randle-El WR (WAS) is able to post a Nate Burleson like performance on the Rams this week. Call it a hunch. 6+ catches for 75+ and a score.
