That Reminds Me, Greg Jennings Kinda Sucked Last Year

I read this article today (below) and it brought back all of the frustration of being a Jennings owner in 2009. Ok perhaps sucked is a little strong but I took him as my WR1 in one league and he didn’t perform like one.
Anyway, here are a few tidbits from an SI article. If you go and read the whole article you’ll see he lists Jennings as #8 while many other fantasy resources have him out of the top ten – which I would agree with.
Afterall, with a QB like Rodgers and an offence that puts up point like they do, shouldn’t he being doing lot more?
I’m not touching the guy until i have at least one very solid WR1 on my squad.
What do you think?
With training camps set to open everywhere in the next 10 days, I’m quite
comfortable with my positional rankings for the SI.com Fantasy Football Preview
(due out Aug. 4) … except for Greg Jennings‘ placement among
the elite receivers. Yes, he finished with 17 catches, 359 yards and two TDs in
his final three meaningful games last year … but he also went six
consecutive games without 100 yards or double-digit catches. On the season,
Jennings caught 68 balls for 1,113 yards and four TDs — a far cry from his 2008
production (80 catches, 1,292 yards, 9 TDs), but encouraging enough for
Aaron Rodgers/Mike McCarthy devotees to

one-year aberration. |

It was frustrating to own Greg Jennings last season, but Green Bay’s offensive line was terrible and banged up early last year and didn’t give Aaron Rodgers enough time to get Jennings the ball.
Hopefully, the adjustments the Packers made last season will stick, and an improved and healthy offensive line will allow Jennings to be effective early and often this season.
Thanks Jacob,
As a Vikings fan, hopefully the adjustments do not stick.
But i am high on the offense and I am sure the line will be better….and that won’t take much considering how bad they were early.
