I’m not normally a into breaking news BUT I figured I pass this on. According to Randy Cross and Bob Papa on NFL Sirius, Plaxico Burress has been suspended for two weeks for insubordination. It is reported that he will at least miss the Seattle game after their bye week.
Look for Amani Toomer, Steve Smith and possibly Dominik Hixon to pick up the slack here.
UPDATE: Here’s a link to a story by Fox Sports Jay Glazer on Plaxico’s suspension.

1Not showing up to work for 2 days straight without returning calls, and you don’t lose your job? The life of an NFL player.
I wonder what he was doing. Vegas? Fallen and can’t get up?

I know poeple who aren’t NFL players that do that. It is more about something called leverage than than being an NFL player.
But anyway, with the bye week, maybe figured he’d take some time to enjoy some of that cash he received from his new deal.

Well, in addition to a job as an NFL player, those jobs are nice.
I wasn’t so much pegging NFL players as having it the best because I know I would probably be wimpering like those guys on the NFL commercials if I had to go through the pain they do on a daily basis to play the game. I just have to be slightly in awe of the stuff players will do from time to time.
I can imagine that leverage has something to do with it. He probably buried himself in cash and couldn’t hear the ringer.
