McNabb is almost in that category every other year. Here are some other guys I think will have nice comeback years.

Marvin Harrison - He still has something in the tank.
Larry Johnson - More hopeful than anything since I have him as a keeper.
Frank Gore - He was a major disappoinment last year, and makes for a great value pick this year.

Thanks Matt,

There could definitely be some great value in Carolina this year. Guys will be under the radar...unless of course they are listening to guys like us.

Thanks for stopping Paul,

Edwards will help fore sure and lets hope he can get a little help on the other side of the filed as well. One or two less defenders would make a big difference too.

I'm big on Jake Delhomme this season as long as the news stays as good as it has been about his arm. Steve Smith's been saying he thinks Jake is stronger this year than he's ever been... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it's a good sign nonetheless.

Good O-line in Carolina + good targets in Smith, Moose, and DJ Hackett = I'm liking the Carolina passing game, barring any Delhomme setbacks.

I totally agree with Lee Evans. He was a huge bust last year, believe me I know :( but he should rebound greatly now with Edwards having more experience under his belt.

That's why Delhomme is a high-risk, high-reward draft pick. If you can get him in the middle to the late rounds as your back up quarterback, then by mid-season he could be highly valuable as a sub during a bye week or as trade bait for a team in need of a quarterback. I'd imagine the Panthers will change their offense a bit to fit Delhomme, if the surgery has effected his arm strength. But whether he throws a five-yard pass to Steve Smith who turns in into a 50-yard gain or the throws a 50-yard pass in the air, it's still 50-yards passing. I'd say the Steve Smith factor is part of the reason he'll be okay. Plus, he'll have his legs underneath him. Don't underestimate how important your leg strength is to throwing a football.

I want to believe in a Delhomme comeback, but no QB has really ever come back from Tommy John surgery successfully, so there are a lot of question marks.
