I just wanted to let you know that due to an unforeseen event last night – and time constraints associated with my day job – I am going to be unable to complete a waiver wire post this week. However, I have a few ideas so that you can still get your waiver wire fix.
First, tune into my live internet radio show – Waiver Wire Live – tonight at 10:30 pm EST (9:30 pm CST) over on BlogTalkRadio.com . I will be put the list together for you live on the air. I will review Sundays players to look out for, give a sneak peak at next weeks games and take your questions via live chat and an exclusive call in line. Stop by and check it out if you can (if you can’t there will be an archive version for you to check out.
Second, you can stop by and vist the Fantasy Football Librarian. She posts waiver wire reports from all over the net. Also, The Hazean offers up his picks in his weekly “Grab Bag.” And last – and definitely not least – we have FootbalJabbers Weekly Waiver Wire Buffet.
Thanks for your understanding and see you tonight.

As the weeks go by your line up decisions get more and more important. From here on out every decision – good or bad – is magnified by ten. Let me help you make sure your decision are the good kind. Here are my thoughts on six players you may be considering this Sunday.
Start em if you got em
Dwayne Bowe WR (KC) -The Chiefs have been putting some offense together lately. They are averaging almost 24 points a game in their last three. A big reason for that has been the play of quarterback Tyler Thigpen. This week KC welcomes the reeling and batter the 27th ranked Saints defense to Arrowhead. Look for D. Bowe to let it all hang out this week with 7-10 catches for 100+ and at least one touchdown.
Santana Moss WR (WAS) – Maybe this is obvious by now but just in case you didn’t catch it. Mini Moss has made the Boys his beeatch lately. In his last three games against them he’s had 25 catches for 381 and two touchdown. There is no reason that should change this Sunday night. Look for 100+ and 1-2 touchdowns.

Holy fricken cow! Can you believe it is already week ten? It won’t be long now and you will either be counting your cash and listening to your buddies heckle your losing ways. Lets work on the former.
Start em if you got em
DeAngelo Williams RB (CAR) – If you have DeAngelo Williams on your squad, you need to get him into your line-up this weekend. He has been getting a larger share of the work lately and he is at home against the 30th ranked Oakland rushing defense that was torn up by both of Atlanta’s running backs last week. Look for 150 all purpose yards and at least 1 touchdown.
Chad Pennington QB (MIA) – Chad has been playing great over the last few games and there is no reason for that to stop this week. The Seahawks are in town, they are ranked 31st against the pass and they don’t travel well – especially over 3 times zones. Chad should have a solid day if you are looking for some bye week love. I’m thinking 250 and 2 touchdowns.

Well we’ve passed the half way point and it is crunchtime my friend. It won’t be long now and you will either be counting your cash or listening to your wife, girlfriend or both complain about the fact that you don’t have any cash because you had to hand it all over to the commish.
No cash means you can’t take her to that fancy french joint and that you will have to settle for the Dollar Menu, a made-for-cable movie and, more than likely, old fisty.
Yep, the stakes are high and there is no time to waste. Here’s who will make or break you this Sunday.
Start em if you got em
Kyle Orton QB (CHI) – He plays winless Detroit for the second time this year and, if the first game was any indication (334 yards with two touchdowns), he shouldn’t have much of a problem laying the smack down. Look for another 300 yard with 2+ touchdowns this weekend.

Before we get to this weeks picks, I just want to take a moment to thank you for reading the Fantasy Football Goat. This Wednesday the blog reached the 500 subscriber mark. Thanks again.
Now, back to business.
There are some pretty prominent fantasy players who are on a bye this week. Studs like Adrian Peterson, Brandon Marshall and Greg Jennings will be at home watching the games just like you and I (except with much bigger TV’s and in much bigger pads). If you are one of the unlucky owners you faces a week without one of these three, good luck.
Now lets take a look at a few players who will be performing – or at least trying to – this Sunday.
Start em if you got em
Thomas Jones RB (NYJ) – He has been fairly hot as of late; 159 yard rushing performances against Oakland last week and 3 touchdowns the week before. This week he gets to play a Chiefs team that is dead last defending the run and doesn’t have any offense to keep him off the field. Getting the yardage and the scores shouldn’t be a problem for him this week. Look for 125 and 2 touchdowns. Read the rest of this entry
