Welcome to day #3 of Fantasy Football Blogger Training Camp. Today I am sharing one of my favorite fantasy football sources with you, Joe Bryant from FootballGuy’s.
I’ve been getting Joe’s newsletter for as long as I can remember. He was the first person I came across online -back in the late 90′s – who was talking about fantasy football. Before him I was scraping up whatever NFL news I could from cable TV, newspapers and seriously outdated magazines (back in the stone ages).
I can honestly say that Joe’s approach to drafting and team management has a lot to do with many of the titles I’ve won over the years. Especially in the late 90′s and early 2000′s before the internet really became mainstream and before many of the guys in my leagues picked up on it – which made my job a little harder for awhile.
You can get the newsletter and most of the podcasts for free but – like anything else these days – if you want the really good stuff, you need to pay a few bucks ($26.95 for the year I believe). It really isn’t much when you think about it and I think paying for a subscription is totally worth it.
There is so much information, I honestly don’t where to to start. There is information on players and teams on just about any league format and scoring system you can imagine. So much that you would never be able to get through it all. His drafting tools are second to none. And when the season starts, his Monday waiver wire reports are excellent and there is a ton of other stuff available everyday throughout the week.
You should at least check out the newsletter and get a feel for what he is all about. Here’s a link to all of FootballGuys free stuff.

There is this stigma out there that fantasy football is a guy thing but nobody told Sara over at Fantasy Football Librarian. Sara is a real live librarian who has been blogging about fantasy football for at least 4 – maybe 5 – years.
Sara sifts through all of the fantasy football news out there and then comments on and link to it. That saves you and I a ton of time. She also compiles all of the injury, waiver wire and start sit info throughout the season which is beyond helpful when it comes to managing your team.
Being a librarian makes is a perfect fit in the world of fantasy football. Her reference and research skills are impeccable.
She is a regular guest on Westwood One Fantasy Football show, she has written (and still might be writing) for the New York Times and has done some things with her local FOX News to name a few.
And since it is always nice to know who someones favorite team is, she is from Denver and is a huge Broncos fan.
Stop by Fantasy Football Librarian and say hi!

I didn’t want to sit here an regurgitate camp reports for you so I figured I would try something a little different – at least this week anyway. I figured I’d share some of the the fantasy football bloggers and experts that I follow, with you.
Today I’d like to start with my old freind Lee over at FootballJabber.com. The guy is hard core and has been handing out solid advice for quite a few years. He never takes a break from talking NFL and Fantasy since goes year around. He also does a lot of stuff in the Dynasty arena if that is your forte’.
He is also riding high since his Saints are world champions.
Swing over to FootballJabber.com, let him give you some solid advice and ask him how the hell a guy from Iowa becomes a Saints fan.

It has been a long time since I have done one of these but I have been stumblin’ across a ton of great fantasy football blogs and resources lately that I think you could use. Here they are. Stop by, check them out and add ‘em to your reader or home page.
ProFootballReference.com – Very handy when looking up stats from years past. All stats back to 1920. Thorough!
FantasyFootballLegend.com – As you may or may not know, I – like yourself – have a day job. Fantasy football is something I blog about in my free time. Bo Mitchell – from Fantasy Football Legend – on the other hand, makes his living talking fantasy football. The former publisher for fantasy football heavyweight Fanball.com and current publisher for Fantasy Football Champs has thrown his hat in the blogging arena. Take advantage. It has been a few weeks since I’ve done a Blogger’s Blitz but I have a bunch of great sites to share with you today.
First, for those of you who are new or don’t remember, here’s the skinny on this periodic post. Other than having a cheesy ass name, the Bloggers Blitz is a post I do from time to time to help share some great fantasy/sports blogs and sites with you. I come across these in a wide variety of ways; I see them when I am surfing, they are recommended by friends or the webmasters themselves send me info.
Know that you know, let’s get to it. Ladies and gentleman, the eighth installment of the Bloggers Blitz: Read the rest of this entry
