Other than the early season NFL expert picks panel I was in earlier in the year over at the NFLMinute, I don’t usually do picks. But, this week I am excited about the NFL playoffs so I figured I would give you my picks as well as a few other links where you can find even more.

Seattle vs Washington
Even though Portis is hot and Collin has been solid I think there’s another factor to consider. In order to stop the Seahawks, the Redskins will need to be able to pressure Matt Hasselbeck. I’m not so sure they can do that. To me, that is the biggest reason why Hasselbeck has a big game and leads the Hawks to a victory.

Pick: Seattle (Vegas says SEA -3.5)

Pittsburgh vs Jacksonville
You know how they say it is hard to beat the same team twice in the same year? It’s true. The last game came down to the wire and I think this one will too. But in the end Jacksonville knows how to play the Steelers and I think they can steal one on the road. Besides, Pittsburgh is missing two starting tackles and their starting running back, thats not good.

Pick: Jacksonville (Vegas says JAC - 2)

Tampa Bay vs New York Giants
This is a tough one to pick - and I like Garcia - but I think that if the Giants can run the ball, minimize turnovers and play as inspired as they did against the Pats it’s theirs for the taking.

Pick: New York Giants (Vegas says TB -3)

San Diego vs Tennessee
I think it is as simple as this. San Diego is at home, they are focused and do not want to blow it again this year. Also, Vince Yong will puss out like he did last weekend and when he does Kerry Collins will get sacked alot by the defence who is fourth in the league at doing so. Look for LT will run all over the Titans.

Pick: San Diego (Vegas says SD -9)

Meanwhile, like the rest of us, the guys over at the Bleacher Report are pretty torn about the NFC.

And finally, the Hazean has a few predictions himself. He also enlightened me to another interesting link. This link is to a very unorthodox, yet cool-as-hell way, to predict the outcomes of this weekends games; it’s a link to the the ArmchairGM’s predictions using Tecmo Super Bowl. You don’t want to miss that.

You gotta love the Tecmo reference. God knows how many dollars I’ve wagered - and brain cells I’ve burned - playing that game.
