Things are getting trickier and trickier as we approach the end of the regular season. Back-ups are being given the opportunity to audition for jobs next year, starters are being rested for the playoffs and some players are just plain old cashing it in. But never fear.
For those of you still in the hunt, I am going to wade through the uncertainty to find whatever value there is to be had. Lets get started.
May be available now…
**UPDATE**Dominic Rhodes/LaMont Jordan RB (OAK) - Looks like Fargas is out for the season with a sprained MCL. Rhodes and Jordan will carry the load from this point on. It is anyones guess has to who will get the most work. As good as Jordan was early, maybe he has the inside track. Either way the Raiders have a decent running game and one of these guys could make a decent emergency RB3 starter.
Laurence Maroney RB (NE) - Is it possible that some owner gave up on him? Sure is. Look for him just in case. This week 16 for 104 and a TD. It is clear that the Pats are going to use him more now that the weather is getting trickier. They are at home again next week against Miami and then play the Giants.
Tony Scheffler TE (DEN) - Huge game last Thursday with 7 catches for 100 and a TD. Could be a starter in a pinch.
Lorenzono Booker RB (MIA) - This is pretty much only a mention for deep, points per catch leagues. Three week in a row he has had exactly 6 receptions. Combined that with yards and you could have 10+ as a RB3.
Keep an eye on…
Shaun Hill QB (SF) - Wow he looked pretty decent. Granted it was against the Bengals but he could offer some value as a QB2 down the stretch. He also raises the value of those around him. Notice how Frank Gore went for a buck thirty eight? Tough match-up against Tampa next week but Cleveland to finish out the season.
Darrel Jackson WR (SF) - He had 8 catches for 86 yards. So he is still playing. Again, tough match-up this week but Cleveland to finish.
Notable performances…
Darren Sproles RB (SD) - Check out what the little man did to the Lions; 25 carries for 122 and 2 td’s. Damn! There can’t be much pride floating around that Lions locker room after the third string running back roles up numbers like that.
Roydell Williams WR (TEN) - 4 catches for 94 and 2 touchdowns. The Titans passing game isn’t that consistant so I will keep him down here until I see more.
Greg Camarillo WR (MIA) - 3 for 109 and the game winning TD. Who?
If you haven’t yet, check out RotoHog.com because it is not too late to sign up, pick a great team for this week and win some of the great prizes (like 30 gig iPods). Best of all you get to see how fun it is to play, so when next year starts, you can hit the ground running and go for the big prize (this year it is $100,000…I’m 69 overall).
I just figured you might want to use your fantasy skills to win a little more before the season is over. See if you can outscore me this week. Sign up for RotoHog now!

1Good list, and yes, it is getting harder to predict fantasy - what a strange one week 15 was. I would also add Houston QB Sage Rosenfels to the list as well, as he has put up solid numbers the last two weeks. He has the Colts this coming week, which you can argue either way - the Colts D is very tough in the passing game, but Houston should get behind early and Rosenfels will have to air it out a lot.
Anyone’s playoff hopes hanging in the balance tonight? All three of my teams are depend on Adrian Peterson in one shape or another. Feel free to check out my blog about it:

2Corey,
I’m in the title game for our league in spite of the fact ROMO, OWENS, and MOSS almost killed my season with their lack of production!!!…..should I even consider benching Romo this week for Warner or Roethelisberger? He got me this far, but this is for all the marbles!

3Freddie,
Thanks for stopping. I thought kinda long, and kinda hard about putting Rosenfels on the list but I figured the competition - Indy and Jacksonville - the last few games is just a little to stiff.
Although, you make a great point about the being down and having to air it out. Garbage yards!

4Victor,
Romo screwed me a bit too. I started him in Rotohog.
That said, Carolina is a decent match-up and Dallas has put themselves in jeopardy of losing homefield. You have to think he will bring it this week.
That said again, keep an eye on the thumb situation. There was speculation that is was hurting and that it hinder his performance.
Lucky for you though, Ben and Kurt have very good match-ups this week.

6Hey Corey…
I’ve got a pre-game question .. need it quickly i suppose. I have both for IND wayne and gonzalez … i dont know who to start because gonzalez is owning lately 200+ yards and 3 td’s in two games and well wayne is wayne. Lemme know what you think please.

8Jesse,
Hmmmm, they are all solid. I would try Wayne and Colston. But you really can’t go wrong with any of them though.

9Well i have 3 picks .. i was starting colston for sure and i guess the remaining two are where i am stuck. Wayne might be a nice target first half where as gonzalez would probably be in the whole game. And then i have both galloway and engram which are about even statistically. Would it be smart to do colston wayne and gonzalez? .. or is two WR from the same team a bad thing?

10I don’t think it is a bad thing playing two receivers from the same team. I just wonder how long any of the Colts will play if they get a big lead.
Galloway has a good match-up but he is in a similar predicament. I might roll with him instead of both Colts.
Engram has a good matchup but it will be windy and rainy.

11Ok thanks .. Im just gonna go with gonzalez as wayne should be taken out sooner. Colston is obvious and then Galloway.
Thanks for the help.
