Here are some waiver wire and sleeper picks for you to check out. There are a ton of guys on my list because I play in some deeper leagues. I need to look a little deeper than most.

I hope you guys grabbed a`few of the suggestions for the last few weeks. D.J. Hackett, Donald Lee, Chris Henry and Chester Taylor all had great games. Lets see what we can find this week.

May be available now…
**UPDATE** Nate Washington WR (PIT) - Santonio Holmes will miss some action this week and Washington could be a decent starter this Monday against Miami.

**UPDATE** Kolby Smith RB (KC) - Priest is calling it a career and LJ is still out. Best of all the Raider bad rush d is in town. Thanks for the heads up Joe.

**UPDATE** Vince Young QB (TEN) - Is it possible that he is laying around on your waiver wire? If so it may not be a bad idea to pick him up. He showed Monday night that he is beginning to step up his game with 300 yards and a TD passing and 74 yards and a TD rushing. If his receivers didn’t have all those drops, his night could’ve been even better. His schedule is solid too. His next three games are against weak passing defenses; Cincinnati, Houston and San Diego.

**UPDATE** Ahmad Bradshaw/Reuben Droughns RB (NYG) - Brandon Jacobs has a bad hammy and Derrick Ward has been battling injuries for a few weeks now. If they can’t go next week then Ahmad and Reuben are the next in line to take on the Vikes.

Santana Moss WR (WAS) - I put him on here because I saw him in free agent pool last week in a few leagues. Take a look at yours and see if he is there. He had a solid game with 9 for 121 and a touchdown against Dallas. Campbell seems to be coming into his own the last few weeks so if Moss can stay healthy he should be solid down the stretch.

    hey Corey,

Here is a position for you to ponder…

I need a third solid WR for my team (QB,2RB,3WR,TE,D,K)

this is funny, becasue I am 3-8 in an 8 person league(though 3 of us are) and my team doesnt seem so bad. well you tell me.

Manning, Bush, M.J.D.,Moss,R.Brown,D.J. Hackett,T. Gonzalez, Seahawks D, and Josh Brown.

Mannings 3 points killed me last week, as Hasslebeck was on my bench and I missed the chance to take our 8-1 league leader down without playing him, while brightening my chances for the playoffs.

anyhow, I have a chance to trade Hasslebeck for Galloway and wonder if you think its worth it or should I play B.Engram off my bench as my 3rd WR.
(by the way, I first insisted on Holt for the same trade, but he is being difficult about it)

sorry for the long winded email, ha.

    man, football rules….

    thanks for the help Corey

    Hey Corey,
So I’m still cruising in First Place, and I’m looking for your trusted guidance once again!

Who would you reccomend I start at QB this week?
Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger, or Kurt Warner?

Which 3 WR should I start out of these four?
Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, D.J. Hackett or Santana Moss?

Out of these four, which 2 should get the start at RB? Chester Taylor, Priest Holmes, Ryan Grant or Reggie Bush?

And lastly, which DEF will be best this week?Green Bay or Arizona?

    As Always, THANKS!!!!!!
    V.P.

    Hey Googler,

Looks alright to me but many of those players are inconsistent from week to week so it is easy to see why you are struggling. I have the same problem in a league I am in also. Tomlinson, Harrison, Coles and a losing record.

At first thought it seems like a lot to give up for WR3. But Galloway is decent, he’s is just inconstant from week to week.

As far as Engram, I think his numbers will go down since Hackett and Branch are back.

Anyone on the Waiver wire for QB’s if you trade or WR if you don’t?

    Hey Victor,

Glad to hear everything is working out.

Romo is to hot to sit down and the Jets are a good match-up. He’s a TD machine right now.

Owens and Randy Moss hands down. Think about it, what would you do if they did this week what they did last week and they were on the bench?

Holmes plays the Raider who Chester just tore up. I would get him in there. And then I would go Bush because he is so explosive and a big part of that team. Grant may not play and I am really skeptical about what Chester can do against the Giants on the road.

Defense…tough one. Not to take anything away from Arizona and their match-up but i think I go Green Bay. The Lions allow the most sacks in the league while the Packers are pretty good at it. I think there are more opportunities for big turnovers because of that reason.

Corey I heard from yahoo fantasy league that Priest Holmes got banged around last week and seemed to have re injured his neck in week 11.
Reports say that he is seeing medical specialists to get evaluated to continue. What gives how come no one else has heard about this? It is on yahoo fantasy sports league under news and notes.

    Corey here is the report:

Nov 20 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Priest Holmes (neck) was banged up after the team’s Week 11 game. Holmes left the game in the fourth quarter and appeared injured. Holmes saw a specialist earlier this week and is expected to see a handful of specialists to help determine his future. He already returned from a neck injury this season after missing two years of action.

By the way Corey I have Chester taylor, Clinton Portis, Rickey Williams, Priest Holmes,

Out of all of these should I start chester taylor and clinton portis, or chester taylor and priest holmes considering priest might lose carries to kolby if this neck thing is true? Or should I hope for a dramatic return hail mary pass from ricky the pot head on monday night against a good steelers defense? It is monday night though, he could break out if he is hungry enough, he does have the talent, im just concerned about his heart. What do you think?

    Corey,
I just read that Priest Holmes might be done for the year. Is Kolby Smith worth picking up for this week in place of Priest?

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for the heads up on Kolby Smith last night.

I think Portis foresure and then Chester Taylor if you weren’t able to get Smith.

I would like to see Ricky in action first.

    Welcome back.

Yeah he is worth a pick up especially against the Raiders rush defense.

    Dyan,

I like Kolby Smith since he will get the carries and he has the better match-up. The Giants play an tough running d and they said they would use a combination of Ahmad Bradshaw and Drougns.

    Hi Corey.

I got my butt kicked last week! D’oh!

Not much I could do. Westbrook tore it up, Brady was solid, the Pats defense is great… I couldn’t compete with that.

To put it in perspective, all of my primary positions each had touchdowns, but I couldn’t beat my opponent. (QB: Bulger, WRs: Housh, Jennings, RBs: Bush, Jones-Drew.) Kinda demoralizing really.

I think the main thing that killed me was the overall yardage. All of them had TDs, but the yardage was very poor all around.

On top of it all, Chicago gave me very little points! The Pats D got literally 5x the points that Chicago got me. (What gives?)

So, enough of my sob story. Here’s my options for this week. Your feedback is desired and welcome!

    QB: Bulger vs Campbell

WR (need 2): Housh, Jennings, Brandon Stokley, Reggie Williams, David Patten, Randel El.

RBs (need 2): Bush, MoJo, Earnest Graham, Ryan Grant, and I can also pick up Kyle Eckel/Heath Evans right now… those are the only waivers avail from your list above.

DEF Team: Chicago, Cincy, Oakland, Buff and NO. (I only have Chicago, but can pick up the others off the waiver if needed.)

Kicker: Vinatieri. What gives? Should I find another kicker? This injury really appears to be bothering him. Last three weeks he’s been awful. If I need a new one, any waiver wire wonders you can think of?

IDP: Patrik Willis has been great with consistent tackles, but he’s playing with a broken hand. Have any quick opinions on him? I love the guy, he seems to play with alot of heart… he is a rookie trying to prove something, which I love.

Anyway, as I said above - it seems like I can get TDs pretty well - but to win, i Need some 100+ yards with the TDs… or I still come up short. I guess I don’t want to take any huge risks, but I need some guys to start having a few breakout games or even if I make it to the playoffs I won’t go very far. :(

Note: I’m in a very deep league, so most of the waivers you mention above are already snatched up…

    Help!

Corey Glad to help out. You have a great website here for fantasy football. Thanks for the advice on my running back situation, Im a little hesitant to sit chester after the beast of a game he had against the oak town boys, but it was oakland after all.

    Hey Guy,

Sorry to hear about your whoopin’.

Bulger seems like the safer bet.

Housh if he plays, then Jennings. After that maybe Stokley.

I don’t really like any of your defenses to be honest. Chicago would likely be the lesser of all evils.

I’m not sure what the deal is with AV. Texans Kris Brown is a decent play, or Phil Dawson of Cleveland, or even Jason Hanson.

Unfortunately I’m not the best guy to ask about IDP. I might try it next year just to get up to speed but that won’t help you today. Sorry.

    Good luck,
    -Corey

I tell ya, last year at this time Vince Young started tearing it up. I activated him from a taxi squad in a Dynasty IDP league and he lead me to the league title.

When Iw atched the game Monday night I seen all good from Vince but a lot of bad from his receivers. Once the ball goes out of his hands he doesn’t control what happens so you can’t blame him. If they get him some hand help next year watch out!

hey again I have some hard decisions this week.
    On my team i have
QB:M Shaub and Jeff Garcia (only1)

Rb:Clinton Portis, Lendale white, Chester Taylor, and cedrick Benson(i can only start two of them)

WR:Chad Johnson, A. Boldin, Donald Driver, Bobby Engram and Pat. Crayton. (only 3)

Def: Minnesota and Colts (only 1)

Vince Young is on the waiver wire and should i drop someone for him and if so who?

Also who do you think woul dbe the best choices at the positions?

    Hey PJ,

    Schaub against Cleveland foresure.

Portis and flip a coin between White and Benson who both have decent match-ups.

Johnson, Driver, Boldin (Crayton may not play)

    Colts

Young may be better than Garcia down the stretch if you have to dump a QB.

Do you think dropping Engram since branch and hackett are dominating for vince young a good idea?

Who should i start out of Young and Schaub

  23. Corey Koehler

    23

    PJ,

Look over the rest Youngs schedule. If there are some good match-ups that you think you could use him down the stretch, then I say yeah.

You are correct, Engram will be used less now that Branch and Hackett are back. I think we are seeing it already.

I like Schaub by a very slim margin. Both defences they are playing are very forgiving and either game could be high scoring.

    Dylan,

Without know Reubens role it would be risky. He may split time with Ward if he plays OR Ahmad Bradshaw.

If you are willing to take the risk, Taylor might be the most “dropable.”
