It’s time to honor the top fantasy performer of the week with a few words and a little video. This week, with so many great performances, selecting one player was a tough call. Or was it?
LaDainian Tomlinson and Tom Brady were both huge this week. However, they are traditional fantasy Gods and you expect performances of this magnitude from them.
Braylon Edwards, Derek Anderson and Cleo Lemon also had very good outings. They without a doubt deserve some recognition. But lets face it, there really wasn’t any defense on either side of the ball for any of them.
To me, there is one performance that stands out among all of them; the performance of Vikings rookie Adrian Peterson.
He had 20 carries for 225 yards (thats 11.5 yard per carry). His three touchdown runs were from 67, 73 and 35 yards out. That just doesn’t happen everyday. What is even more outstanding is the fact that this rookie made it look very easy playing against the Monsters of the Midway in their house (not that they are anything special this year but still).
I want to honor the man that put a smile on the face of fantasy owners and Viking fans everywhere by offering up a video I posted way back in April after the Vikes drafted him. This is a compilation of some of his college work set to the Cake song “The Distance.”
Here’s to the NFL leading rusher and leading candidate for rookie of the year. Check it out.
