Here is the roster for my Elite Owners fantasy football league. I have been in this league for 17 years. It is probably the most competitive that I am in and the supply of smack talk is endless. I have missed the four team play off only once in that 17 years and I have a Bronco-like Super Bowl record of one win in six appearances (last year I lost on a tie-breaker).
This league is a ten team league. It has decent size he entry fee which feeds a nice prize pool. We start two quarterbacks, two running backs, three receivers, no tight-end, a kicker and a d. Other than points per reception it is pretty straight forward as far as scoring goes. For the record the waiver wire works on a first come first serve basis.
Here’s the skinny;
John Kitna
Byron Leftwich
Jeff Garcia
Vince Young
Cedric Benson
Sammy Morris
Micheal Turner
Tatum Bell
Ladanian Tomlinson
Ladell Betts
Muhsin Muhammad
Santonio Holmes
Jacoby Jones
Laveranous Coles
Marvin Harrison
Isaac Bruce
Mike Furrey
Josh Scobee
D Packers
D Redskins (for week one against the Miami offense)
The whole Leftwich thing has thinned out the QB position once again. Oh well, I will just have to be on my toes this year if anything happens to my top guys.
My starting backs are rock solid but I’m not very deep at all. Over a week ago when I drafted I was thinking that Bell would have 8 weeks to steal the job but the gamble didn’t pay off. Kevin Jones is practicing. I think Ladell Betts will get to at least share the load this year so he’s not a complete loss. Sammy morris is in there because I toook a flier after watching a few Patriot games and noticing he was getting some short yardage stuff (even when Maroney was playing).
The only problem I will have with my receivers is figuring out which combination to start every week. I think they are the deepest position I have on my team.
Packers D will be my main D but I took a flier on Washington late because I noticed they play Miami week one. I think the skins will be able to put up a few point against the shaky Miami line. Scobee was the best on the board in the last round. He should be solid.
That should do it for my traditional league rosters. My Rotohog league will be changing quite a bit week to week so I’m not quite sure how I going to break that down for you yet. Maybe I’ll just list my weekly lineup or something.
Anyway, as always, if you have any comments or questions post them below. I’d love to hear from you. In a few days I will be announcing a little contest I’m putting on that will give you a chance to win some of my cash based on my teams performances this year. You’ll want to be on the lookout for that. See you next time.

1I am in a very similar league team size and roster wise.
I love the Jacoby Jones pick, but your receivers seem pretty thin, given you only have two pure starting RB’s in Benson and LT, in a 10 team league. Not quite sure what order your draft panned out, but looks like you went deep on RB picks sacrificing some talent at WR along the way.
If this is a keeper or dynasty league you are in incredible shape for next season with Turner and Betts probably getting featured roles on their own team by next season, but only injuries will truly open the door for them this season.

2Thanks for the comments Hardwood,
I actually like my receivers. A few of them will pan out. Worst case scenario, there are always a few floating around on the wire.
For the record this isn’t a keeper league. But your right this would be a good start.
