I’m sure you’re sick of reading about the Garrard/Leftwich saga by now but I just had to chime in. Was I the only person that watched as David Garrard literally threw away the Jaguars playoff chances last year?
This guy tossed five interception in December (compared to three td’s) and many of them were game killers. Hell he had two games with four picks last year, is this really who you want running the show in 2007? Jack thinks so. I guess we’ll see.
For the record I am a bit bitter because I had high hopes for Byron and the Jags offense this year. Those high hopes translated into draft selections in three different leagues this year. Two of the leagues require two QB starter which means I am all of the sudden thin at QB. Ouch! Anyway, I’m done whining now.

1I hear you but the Jags were always stale under Leftwich. The guy has a great arm but his release is very slow, he’s not mobile and he doesn’t seem to make good decisions. The numbers don’t lie, Garrard has actually played as well as Leftwich and that doesn’t take into consideration his mobility.
Is he the long-term answer, I don’t know but until they give him his chance they wouldn’t know and over the past three years he’s proven he deserves at least that chance.
