Today, I will show you the second of my five drafts. As I said in the post about my Bruno Boys league roster, you are going to want to pay attention to how I manage my teams for three reasons; first, whether you agree with my moves or not, you get a sense for how you want to manage your team. Second, you will learn something from everything I do, whether its right or wrong. Third, I am trying to put together a little contest were I will give you the opportunity to win some cash each week based on my teams performance (and if you are like any other red blooded fantasy football fan, you like winning money).

Today I will tell you about my Blogger league roster. This twelve team league features many popular expert fantasy football bloggers and webmasters. As with the Bruno Boy league it is pretty straight forward. Starting line-ups consist of QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, D with nine on the bench. The scoring is standard (no points per reception..again, bummer) and the league is on Yahoo Sports.

The date and time of the draft ended up being on the same day, at the exact same time as one of my other leagues. This meant that I had to do an auto draft for the first time ever. Autodrafting is kind of freaky when you putting your rep on the line but it is just another new challenge to over come.

Here is who I got.

Projected Starters
Donovan Mcnabb
Frank Gore (I had the 5th pick)
Maurice Jones-Drew
Lee Evans
Laveranues Coles
Chris Cooley
Stephen Gostkowski
Pittsburgh D

Bench
Byron Leftwich
Ladell Betts
Chris Brown
Muhsin Muhammad
David Martin (dropped and picked up Ronald Curry)
Jason Elam (dropped and picked up Ron Dayne)
Green Bay D

Although I think my receivers and running back depth are a little shaky, I was fairly pleased with the outcome. I wanted McNabb, Gostkowski and both Pittsburgh and Green Bay.

I was surprised to see that I was able to get Gore at the 5th pick. I’m not a big RBBC guy but if you re going to have one on your team Jones-Drew is the guy you want. My depth is a little shaky - unless something happens with Portis - so I picked up the only guy available with a pulse, Ron Dayne.

We only start two receivers so I’m not overly worried about the depth here. If I was able to chose I might not have went with both Evans and Coles. Hopefully Evans continues his rise and Coles continues where he left off last year. I picked up Ron Curry because he has looked promising in pre-season and you just never know.

Remember if you have any comments or questions post them below. I’d love to hear from you. I will be back in a few days with my roster for the league I was drafting for during this one. This league (I’ll call it is the Homegrown league) is wide open and is, without a doubt, one of the most challenging that I am in.
