In the first two drafts I participated in Larry Johnson didn’t go any lower than 5th. Many of the mock drafts I participated in, or reviewed, never had him lower than 6th.
But then something funny happened. Last Sunday I drafted in a league where he was avoided like the plague. In fact, nobody jumped on him until pick number 13 (for the record I passed twice once with the ninth and then with the eleventh pick). Crazy huh?
Was it the hold out that scared everyone away? Maybe, but now that the holdout is over and the honeymoon is in full swing, I’m not so sure it would be that much different if we drafted again.
Why?
