i know this is a bit old but I kept forgetting to put it out there for you. Anyway, looks like the NFL is going to be helping you and I a little more during the fantasy season. According to ProFootballTalk the NFL is going to require that teams disclose whether or not a player practiced, and also, to what extent he practiced. This report will be provided in addition to the current designations; out, doubtful, questionable, and probable.
I don’t think that this is going to make a huge difference in the way you manage your team during the week. You might get a slightly better jump on knowing whether or not you need to grab someone to start in place of an injured player, but that hasn’t been that difficult anyway (Except with New England, Denver and Minnesota).

1Weird! Just yesterday I was thinking about this. Thanks for posting this it saved me a lot of time looking for it. This should help because there is nothing worse than not being certain if a player is ready. It doesn’t play a tremendous role in seasonal leagues but it will in a weekly league .
